The walk of a restless heart

That was the thing about the most colourful souls. They were so easily bored. Like some place inside of her craved for something that nothing or no one could ever fulfill. "It must be horrible to never get what you want" I told her once and not even expecting an reply to my thought that accidently slipped out of my mouth. The combination of her joke and striking truth hit me like so many times before. "The greatest tragedy in life is not to never get what you want, it is to get everything you want, but never feel like it is enough"
"
At that moment I knew that she'd never stop walking in the middle of the street, or do the most stupid things she did late at night when her soul was too restless to behave, I guess that was her way to play with the things that was within her control. A girl like that would not believe in faith or destiny. She went for everything she wanted and always got it, had the world at her fingertips.
The stimulating thrill she got from those suicidal midnight walks with only streetlights and the sound of the cars honking at her stupid act as her only company was all she needed from time to time, the reminder that not everything was her descicioun to make. And she'd walk the lonely street, facing danger with a smile and beg for something or someone to cross her path with something else, something new that she'd never get, that she'd never be able to control.
